Spiral Base
Chain 180–220.
Work 1 sc in each chain.
Change to black and work 1 sc in every stitch.
Change to orange and repeat (2 sc, inc) across to create the spiral shape.

Top Wreath
Start with a magic ring and crochet 6 sc.
Increase evenly until the ring reaches approximately 15 cm in diameter.
Join the ends to form a wreath.

Leaves
Chain 8.
Work sc, hdc, dc, dc, hdc, sc, sl st.
Crochet the opposite side of the chain and finish.

Bat
Crochet a small oval body.
Stuff lightly.
Crochet two triangular wings and attach them to the body.
Assembly
Wrap the spiral around the wire until it holds its shape.
Sew the wreath securely to the top.
Attach the leaves and stars around the wreath.
Hang the moon, ghosts, pumpkins, cats, stars, and bat from chains of different lengths along the spiral.
Add a hanging loop to the top.
