Assembly

Make all the flowers and leaves before joining them.

Place the large flowers in a long central arrangement.

Alternate the pink and cream flowers.

Place the flowers slightly offset from one another rather than creating perfectly straight rows.

Put green leaves into the spaces between the flowers.

Add the smaller flowers wherever there are larger gaps.

Join the motifs using a yarn needle and matching yarn.

Sew several small stitches between touching petals and motifs.

Do not sew every edge completely so the runner remains flexible.

Joining With Crochet

Place two motifs together.

Insert the hook through corresponding stitches of both motifs.

Make a single crochet or slip stitch through both motifs.

Repeat at several points where the motifs touch.

Continue joining flowers and leaves until the desired length is reached.

Suggested Quantity

8 pink large flowers

8 cream large flowers

6–8 small flowers

12–16 large leaves

8–12 small leaves

You can add more flowers to make the runner longer or wider.

Finishing

Weave all loose ends into the back of the motifs.

Trim the excess yarn.

Lightly dampen the finished runner.

Lay it flat and gently shape the flowers and leaves.

Allow it to dry completely.

The finished runner can be used as a dining table runner, coffee-table decoration, or decorative centerpiece.
