Honey Garlic Ribs
Ingredients
- 4 pounds pork spareribs
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup distilled white vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
Directions
Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Prepare the Ribs: 2. Slice the ribs into individual pieces.
Make the Marinade: 3. In a large bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, and minced garlic. Stir until the honey and sugar are completely dissolved. 4. Stir in the baking soda. The mixture will begin to foam.
Marinate the Ribs: 5. Transfer the ribs to the bowl and turn to coat them well with the marinade.
Prepare the Baking Sheet: 6. Cover a cookie sheet with foil. Arrange the ribs meat-side up on the prepared sheet. 7. Pour any excess sauce over the ribs and sprinkle with garlic salt.
Bake the Ribs: 8. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, turning the ribs every 20 minutes to ensure even cooking and coating.
Serve: 9. Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
Enjoy: 10. Serve the ribs hot and enjoy the delicious honey garlic flavor!
Notes:
- Marinating Time: For extra flavor, you can marinate the ribs for a few hours or overnight in the refrigerator before baking.
- Grilling Option: For a smoky flavor, you can finish the ribs on a grill for the last 10-15 minutes instead of baking the entire time.
- Garnish: Garnish with chopped green onions or sesame seeds before serving for an extra touch.
