Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef (80% lean)
4 hamburger buns
1 tablespoon butter, softened
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
4 slices American cheese
4 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 teaspoon garlic salt
Instructions:
Preheat a griddle or large skillet over medium-high heat.
Divide ground beef into 8 equal portions and shape into thin patties.
Season patties with salt and black pepper on both sides.
Cook patties on the griddle for 2-3 minutes per side until cooked through.
While patties are cooking, mix softened butter with garlic powder.
Spread garlic butter on the insides of hamburger buns and toast on the griddle until golden brown.
Place a slice of American cheese on 4 patties and top each with another patty to make double burgers.
Spread mayonnaise on the bottom buns and sprinkle with garlic salt.
Place the double steakburgers on the buns and top with the remaining bun halves.
Notes:
Add lettuce, tomato, and pickles for extra flavor and crunch.
