Garlic Butter Steak Bites & Creamy Mac & Cheese:


Ingredients

Steak Bites:

1 lb sirloin steak, cut into cubes

3 tbsp butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

½ tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

½ tsp paprika

1 tbsp olive oil

½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)

Creamy Mac & Cheese:

8 oz elbow macaroni (or any pasta of choice)

2 tbsp butter

2 tbsp all-purpose flour

2 cups whole milk

1 cup heavy cream

2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

½ tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

½ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp mustard powder (optional, for extra flavor)


Instructions

  1. Cook the Mac & Cheese:
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In the same pot, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until slightly golden.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk and heavy cream, stirring continuously until smooth and slightly thickened.
  5. Reduce heat to low and add the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese, stirring until melted and creamy.
  6. Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and mustard powder (if using). Stir in the cooked macaroni and mix well. Cover and keep warm.
  1. Cook the Garlic Butter Steak Bites:
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the steak cubes in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes without stirring to get a good crust.
  4. Flip the steak cubes and cook for another 2 minutes until browned.
  5. Reduce heat to low, add the butter and minced garlic, and stir for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Season with salt, black pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes (if using). Toss everything together until the steak is well coated.
  7. Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped parsley.

Plate the creamy mac & cheese alongside the garlic butter steak bites.

Garnish with extra parsley or shredded cheese if desired.
