
Garlic Butter Steak Bites & Creamy Mac & Cheese:
Ingredients
Steak Bites:
1 lb sirloin steak, cut into cubes
3 tbsp butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp paprika
1 tbsp olive oil
½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
Creamy Mac & Cheese:
8 oz elbow macaroni (or any pasta of choice)
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
2 cups whole milk
1 cup heavy cream
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp mustard powder (optional, for extra flavor)
Instructions
- Cook the Mac & Cheese:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In the same pot, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until slightly golden.
- Gradually whisk in the milk and heavy cream, stirring continuously until smooth and slightly thickened.
- Reduce heat to low and add the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese, stirring until melted and creamy.
- Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and mustard powder (if using). Stir in the cooked macaroni and mix well. Cover and keep warm.
- Cook the Garlic Butter Steak Bites:
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the steak cubes in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes without stirring to get a good crust.
- Flip the steak cubes and cook for another 2 minutes until browned.
- Reduce heat to low, add the butter and minced garlic, and stir for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Season with salt, black pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes (if using). Toss everything together until the steak is well coated.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
- Serve & Enjoy:
Plate the creamy mac & cheese alongside the garlic butter steak bites.
Garnish with extra parsley or shredded cheese if desired.
