Ingredients:

  • 4 cups sour cream (2 large 16 oz containers)
  • 2 cups mayonnaise
  • 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix (or 2 tbsp if bulk)
  • 1 packet dry onion soup mix (optional, for extra flavor)
  • 1 1/2 cups bacon bits (real bacon preferred)
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped green onions (or chives)
  • 1 (4 oz) can diced green chilies or jalapeños (optional for spice)
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped black olives (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sour cream and mayonnaise.
  2. Stir in the ranch dressing mix and onion soup mix until well blended.
  3. Add the cheddar cheese, bacon bits, green onions, and any optional ingredients (like chilies or olives).
  4. Mix thoroughly until everything is evenly coated.
  5. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight to let the flavors develop.
  6. Serve with Fritos, tortilla chips, crackers, or veggie sticks.

Storage:

  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
  • Keeps well for 3–4 days.
