Recipe: Chili Cheese Dog Bake
Ingredients:
- 4 wieners (hot dogs)
- 4 cheddar string cheese sticks
- 1 can of Pillsbury pizza dough
- 1 15-ounce can of chili
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon dried garlic
- 1 milliliter of fresh parsley
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Pour the chili into a 6 x 10 or 7 x 11-inch baking pan.
- Unwrap the cheddar string cheese sticks and cut each one in half lengthwise. Set aside.
- Open the can of Pillsbury pizza dough and roll it out. Cut the dough into four equal-sized pieces.
- Place two halves of cheddar string cheese between two wieners. Wrap the dough around the cheese-filled wieners, starting at one end of the dough strip and wrapping it all the way around the hot dog.
- Place the wrapped hot dogs seam side down in the baking pan with the chili.
- Bake the dough-wrapped hot dogs in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the dough is fully cooked.
- While the hot dogs are baking, melt the butter. Mix in the dried garlic and chopped fresh parsley to create a garlic butter mixture.
- Once the baked hot dogs are done, brush them with the melted garlic butter mixture.
- Serve the Chili Cheese Dog Bake hot and enjoy the delicious combination of chili, cheese, and buttery dough!
Note: To prevent a doughy bottom, place the hot dogs in the baking pan first and then pour the chili around them. This hearty dish is perfect for a fun and indulgent dinner.
