Work a filet mesh:

dc, ch 2, skip 2

Continue around.

Finish with shell edging.

Curved Connector (Make 5)

Foundation chain approximately 65.

Work alternating rows of mesh and shell stitches.

Shape gentle S-curves using increases on the outer edge and decreases on the inner edge.

Large Flower (Make 6)

Center:

Magic Ring.

12 sc.

Second round:

24 puff stitches.

Petals:

8 large petals.

Each petal:

sc, hdc, 5 dc, hdc, sc.

Leaves

Small leaf:

Chain 10.

Work around both sides using:

sc, hdc, dc, tr, dc, hdc, sc.

Make in olive, sage, and brown.

Assembly

Join each burgundy circle to one lace medallion.

Sew flowers at the center overlap.

Arrange leaves beneath each flower.

Join all motifs using the curved lace connectors.

Finish with a cream picot border around the entire runner.

Finishing

Steam block each motif before assembly.

Sew pieces together with invisible whip stitches.
