How To Make Chicken Broccoli Casserole
Initially, you need to heat the olive oil in a big ovenproof frying pan over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and cook until softened and translucent, around 2 to 4 minutes.
Next, add the cubed chicken, salt, and pepper and cook for 3 to 5 minutes before adding the garlic and cooking for an additional minute. Then, substitute the rice and simmer for 2 or 3 minutes before mixing in the cream of chicken and chicken broth or water.
At this step, bring the rice mixture to a simmer. Reduce to a low heat environment, Cook, covered, for 10–12 minutes, stirring periodically, until the rice is tender. Approximately halfway through, search and see whether more broth or water can be included and to ensure the rice does not get sticky.
NOTE: After tasting, change the seasoning as desired.
Now, stir in the broccoli florets and half of the grated cheese until well combined. And cook for an additional 2 to three minutes, until your broccoli softens slightly. When finished, you need to remove the pan from heat and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
Finally, put the saucepan under the broiler for a few minutes, just before the cheese melts and starts to brown slightly. And of course, never forget to garnish with parsley right before serving.
