The atmosphere around the dinner table grew quieter as everyone settled into their seats. The warm glow of the candles reflected on the polished table, while the aroma of the roast filled the room. At first, the family exchanged polite smiles and small talk, but it was clear that something important was about to be said.
The woman at the center slowly opened the envelope in front of her. Everyone turned their attention toward her, waiting to hear what was inside. Her expression changed as she read the message, and the room fell completely silent.
She looked around the table and took a deep breath.
“We need to talk,” she finally said.
