  1. 1/2 cup rice (short-grain or sushi rice preferred)

Instructions**:

Step 1: Cook the Rice**

  • Rinse the rice thoroughly until the water runs clear.
  • In a pot, add 1/2 cup of rice to 1 cup of water.
  • Cook on medium heat until rice is soft and water becomes starchy.
  • Don’t let the water completely evaporate!

Step 2: Extract the Rice Gel**

  • Once cooked, strain the rice and keep the starchy rice water.
  • Let the rice water cool down slightly.
  • It will thicken into a gel-like consistency.

Step 3: Add Aloe Vera or Milk**

  • Mix 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel into the warm (not hot) rice gel.
  • Alternatively, mix 2 tablespoons of milk if using the milk version.
  • Stir well until smooth and creamy.
