Strawberry Cream-Filled Rolls 😍🤤

INGREDIENTS

  • 300 g (2 cups) all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 45 g (1/4 cup) granulated sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 7g dry yeast
  • 140 mL (3/5 cup) hot milk
  • 40 g (1/4 cup) softened butter

For the Decoration:

  • Whipped cream
  • Chopped strawberries
  • Powdered sugar

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a medium bowl, combine granulated sugar, yeast, and hot milk. Stir until the sugar and yeast are dissolved.
  2. Whisk in the egg. Add the all-purpose flour and salt, then mix the dough using a spatula. Continue kneading by hand until you have an elastic dough.
  3. Incorporate the softened butter into the dough while continuing to knead until well combined.
  4. Form the dough into a ball, cover it with a cloth or plastic wrap, and let it rise for one hour.
  5. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into a ball. Cover and let them rest for 30 minutes.
  6. Slightly flatten each ball, then roll it into a ball again. Cover and let them rest for an additional 30 minutes.
  7. Heat oil in a pan over low heat. Fry the dough balls for 2-3 minutes on each side until they’re golden brown.
  8. Allow the fried balls to cool slightly, then cut them in half lengthwise, similar to burger buns.
  9. Spread whipped cream on one half and add chopped strawberries. Place the other half on top, dust with powdered sugar, and serve.
