Steak Seasoning

Ingredients:

  • 2-pound sirloin steak (3/4 inch thick)
  • 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon of chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cornstarch

Procedure:

  1. Place all the ingredients in a sealed, airtight bag and seal it tightly.
  2. Shake the bag to thoroughly mix all the ingredients.
  3. Generously sprinkle the seasoning mixture onto each side of the steak.
  4. Allow the steak to stay with the seasoning for at least 40 minutes.
  5. Preheat the grill to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
  6. Spray or brush the grill grates with oil, using vegetable oil, olive oil, or canola oil.
  7. Place the steaks on the hot grill and cook for 3–5 minutes on each side, depending on your preferred level of oneness.
  8. Flip the steaks and grill for another 3–5 minutes, again based on your preference.
  9. Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for a minimum of 5 minutes before slicing or serving. Enjoy your meal!
