Ingredients:
– 3 cups flour (400 grams)
– 1 cup cold butter (200 grams)
– 1 and 1/4 cup sifted powdered sugar (100 grams)
– 1 egg
– 1 teaspoon vanilla
– Pinch of salt
– 1/4 cup cold water or as needed
Preparation:
1. Mix the flour with a pinch of salt. Add the butter and mix until you get a sandy mixture. Then add the sifted powdered sugar and mix well. Next, add the egg yolk, vanilla, and a little cold water gradually until the dough comes together, being careful not to over-knead to prevent drying out the dough.
2. Once the dough comes together, shape it with your hands, wrap it in plastic wrap, and let it rest in the refrigerator for half an hour. Then, roll it out between two buttered parchment papers or on a lightly floured surface. Then, press it into mini tart molds or a tart pan.
3. After brushing it with butter and sprinkling a little flour, crimp the edges and remove any excess dough. Prick the dough with a fork.
4. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C until golden brown. After removing it from the oven, fill it with Nutella, white chocolate, caramel, nuts, pastry cream, or fruits as desired.
