How to Quickly Clean Your Oven Glass

Best Way To Clean Oven Glass

Are you seeking the most effective method for cleaning the glass on your oven door? Well, you’ve come to the perfect place!

Sharing that grimy oven snapshot online is definitely cringe-worthy, but hey, it’s the reality of everyday life. Let’s just say, we might have indulged in one too many rounds of jalapeno poppers and oven-baked bacon – about twenty too many, to be precise. And oh boy, did those grease splatters put on a show! Initially, I attempted to tackle the mess with a magic eraser and some water, which managed to remove one layer of the grime, but those stubborn grease lines remained steadfast. Feeling a bit defeated, I turned to my family for advice on the best oven-cleaning method, and that’s when I stumbled upon this ingenious hack.

I applied approximately ¾ cup of hot water onto the oven glass and then evenly spread baking soda over the surface. After letting it sit for about 30 seconds, I grabbed a balled-up piece of aluminum foil and gently began to scrub. To my amazement, the grease practically melted away with minimal effort! Using circular motions, I continued scrubbing until the glass was spotless. Afterward, I wiped away the residue with paper towels. However, to completely eliminate any remaining baking soda film, you’ll need to rinse the surface with fresh water.

Once you give this a try, you’ll be amazed at how satisfying it feels! It’s hard to believe that this trick only takes about 3 minutes from start to finish… and all this time, I’ve been procrastinating for no reason at all! Feeling motivated? Why not tackle cleaning your stove top next, or even give your dishwasher a once-over?

INGREDIENTS

  • ¾ cup hot water or vinegar
  • baking soda
  • aluminum foil

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Pour hot water all over your oven glass.
  • Sprinkle baking soda until it’s all coated. Let sit for 30 seconds.

  • Baking soda streaks will start to show so wipe it again with water.
  • Wipe with a dry paper towel and you’ll have a sparkling oven glass door!
