Garlic-Parmesan Mushroom Medley

 

THE INGREDIENTS LIST:

— 1 (450g) pound. Of fresh mushrooms (button or Gemini), cleaned and stems trimmed,

— 3 large spoons. Of butter.

— 3 garlic cloves, minced.

— 1/4 cup. Of grated Parmesan cheese.

— 1/4 cup. Of breadcrumbs.

— 2 large spoons. Of chopped fresh parsley.

— Salt and black pepper to taste.

PREPARATION:

1st Step

To start, clean the mushrooms by wiping them down with a moist cloth or a paper towel. Remove any uneven portions of the stems with the pruning shears. Depending on your personal choice, you may either keep the bigger mushrooms whole or cut them in half lengthwise.

2nd Step

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. After approximately a minute of cooking, add the garlic that has been minced and keep the heat on. Take care not to allow the garlic to become brown, since doing so may cause it to become bitter.

3rd Step

After the mushrooms have been cleaned, add them to the pan and toss them in the butter that has been flavored with garlic. Cook the mushrooms for about five to seven minutes, or until they start to give up their moisture and develop a golden brown color.

4th Step

In a small bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, and chopped fresh parsley. The combination will result in a delicious crust being formed on the mushrooms.

5th Step

Spread the Parmesan and breadcrumb mixture over the mushrooms that have been sautéed in the pan in an equal layer. To ensure that the flavors are distributed evenly throughout the mushrooms, give the mixture a little swirl before proceeding.

6th Step

Transfer the pan to a preheated oven broiler that has been set to a low temperature if the skillet may be placed in the oven. You also have the option of placing the sliced mushrooms in a baking dish before adding the topping to the dish. Broil the topping for two to three minutes, or until it has a golden brown color and a crispy texture.

7th Step

To bring out the full range of flavors in the Garlic Parmesan mushrooms, season them with a bit of salt and a sprinkle of black pepper as soon as they come out of the oven. They should then be transferred to a serving tray, where they can be garnished with more chopped parsley for an injection of color and vibrancy.

8th Step

Serve the mushrooms topped with garlic and Parmesan as soon as possible, preferably while they are still warm and at their most delicious. These delectable morsels are wonderful for passing around the table at get-togethers, serving as a side dish, or even just indulging in on their own.
