Stuff firmly with fiberfill.
FO and leave a long sewing tail.
For the larger snowman shown in the upper section, repeat the body with approximately 36 stitches at its widest point.
Use white yarn.

Stuff lightly.
FO and close the opening.
Attach safety eyes between approximately R6 and R7.
With orange yarn, embroider or crochet a tiny carrot nose.
For the nose:
MR, 5 sc
R2: sc around
R3: dec around
Sew the small cone to the center of the face.
Use black embroidery thread to create the smiling mouth.
Use pink yarn to embroider two small round cheeks.
Use black yarn.

FO and sew the hat onto the snowman’s head.
Add a red band around the hat.
Embroider tiny green holly leaves and red berries on the front.
Use red and white yarn.
Ch 55.
Row 1: sc across.
Row 2: ch 1, turn, sc across.
Continue for approximately 5–7 rows, changing between red and white to create stripes.
Add small fringe to both ends.
Wrap the scarf around the snowman’s neck and sew it securely.
This is the main decorative structure.
Use red yarn.
Ch approximately 90–110, depending on the desired length.
Row 1: sc across.
Row 2: ch 1, turn, sc across.
Row 3: ch 1, turn, work repeated increases:
(sc, inc) across.
The increasing edge causes the crocheted strip to naturally curve.
Change to white yarn and repeat the same construction.
Continue alternating red and white sections until you have a long spiral approximately 45–60 cm long.
For a more pronounced spiral, increase slightly more frequently.
Shape the strip around a flexible wire or pipe cleaner while gently steaming or blocking it.
Do not overstretch the crochet.
Attach red yarn to one long edge.
Work:
(sc, 3 dc in next stitch, sc) repeatedly.
This creates a decorative ruffled edge.
Repeat on the opposite edge with white yarn.
The finished strip should resemble the red-and-white spiral shown in the photo.
Use red yarn.
R1: MR, 6 sc
R2: inc x6 — 12
R3: (sc, inc) x6 — 18
R4: sc around — 18
R5: (sc, dec) x6 — 12
R6: dec x6 — 6
Stuff very lightly.
Close the opening.
Shape the top center into a heart indentation.
Make approximately 10–14 hearts in different sizes.
Attach them to thin gold cord at different lengths.
Use white yarn.
Ch 6 and join with a sl st.
Create a six-point snowflake using chains and picots.
A simple version:
Ch 5, sl st into the next point.
Repeat around the center six times.
For each arm:
ch 5, 3 dc into the chain, ch 3, sl st back into the same area.
Repeat for all six arms.
Block the snowflake flat.
Make approximately 4–6 snowflakes.
Attach small gold jingle bells underneath the snowflakes and hearts.
Use gold cord approximately 10–15 cm long.
Tie one bell to the end of each decorative strand.
Make another snowman using the same head and body instructions.
For the middle snowman:
Sew the head securely to the body.
Place this snowman in the center of the second spiral section.
Make a smaller version.
Head:
R1: 6 sc
R2: 12
R3: 18
R4–6: 18
R7: 12
R8: 6
Body:
R1: 6 sc
R2: 12
R3: 18
R4–6: 18
R7: 12
R8: 6
Stuff both pieces and close.
Add:
Use red yarn.
Ch 20.
Row 1: sc across.
Rows 2–5: sc across.
Repeat to make a second matching rectangle.
Place the two rectangles together and wrap the center tightly with red yarn.
Sew the bow to the top of the ornament.
At the top of the bow, attach a strong gold cord.
Make a loop approximately 10–15 cm long.
Reinforce the attachment several times because the finished decoration is relatively long.
Starting from the top:
Arrange the charms at different lengths so they hang naturally instead of forming a straight line.
Hang the decoration from its top loop.
Gently arrange each spiral into a smooth helix.
Adjust the snowmen so they face forward.
Spread the hearts and snowflakes around the spiral.
Check every bell and hanging cord is firmly secured.
The finished decoration should be approximately 45–60 cm long, depending on yarn weight, hook size and the number of spiral turns. Similar published spiral snowman patterns commonly use worsted/DK yarn with hooks around 3–3.5 mm and produce long hanging decorations.
