Pumpkin Head

Using orange yarn:

Round 1: MR, 6 sc (6)

Round 2: Inc around (12)

Round 3: (Sc, inc) ×6 (18)

Round 4: (2 sc, inc) ×6 (24)

Round 5: (3 sc, inc) ×6 (30)

Round 6–12: Sc around (30)

Round 13: (3 sc, dec) ×6 (24)

Round 14: (2 sc, dec) ×6 (18)

Stuff firmly.

Round 15: (Sc, dec) ×6 (12)

Round 16: Dec around (6)

FO and close.

Add pumpkin shaping by wrapping orange yarn vertically around the pumpkin to create sections.

Pumpkin Face

Using black yarn or felt:

• Two triangle eyes
• Small triangle nose
• Curved smiling mouth

Sew or attach securely.

Pumpkin Stem

Using brown yarn:

Round 1: MR, 6 sc

Rounds 2–5: 6 sc around

Stuff lightly and sew to the top of the pumpkin.

Pumpkin Leaves

Using green yarn:

Chain 10.

Work back with:
sl st, sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc, sl st.

Repeat to make several leaves.

Attach around the stem.

Spiral Garland

Make two long strips.

Orange Spiral

Chain 120–150.

Work 3 sc in every chain across.

The strip will naturally curl into a spiral.

Beige Spiral

Chain 120–150.

Work:

Row 1: sc across.

Row 2: (1 dc, ch 1) across to create an open texture.

Insert floral wire if extra support is needed.

Twist both spirals together and attach beneath the pumpkin.

Hanging Decorations

Make small pumpkin shapes:

MR, 6 sc.

Increase to 18 stitches.

Work several rounds.

Decrease and stuff lightly.

Attach small pumpkins along the spiral with green yarn strings.

Small Flowers

Using white yarn:

MR, 5 petals:
(ch 3, 2 dc, ch 3, sl st) repeat around.

Add a yellow center bead or stitch.

Sew flowers onto the spiral.

Bottom Leaves

Create larger green leaves using the same leaf method.

Attach at the bottom of the spiral.

Assembly

1. Crochet and shape the pumpkin head.
2. Add the face, stem, and leaves.
3. Create the orange and beige spiral ribbons.
4. Attach the spirals under the pumpkin.
5. Add hanging mini pumpkins, flowers, and leaves.
6. Add a hanging loop at the top.
7. Adjust the spiral shape with wire if needed.
