Snow Garland

Using white yarn.

Chain approximately 250–350 chains.

Row 1:

Work 3 sc into every chain to form a curly spiral.

Fasten off.

Wrap around the tree from the top downward.

Sew in place every few turns.

Star Topper

Using yellow yarn.

Make two stars.

Each Star:

Rnd 1:

5 sc in mr.

Rnd 2:

(sc, inc) around.

Points:

Repeat 5 times:

sl st back to next base stitch.

Place both stars together.

Stuff lightly.

Join with sc around.

Attach firmly to the tree top.

Assembly

• Place the largest branch layer at the bottom.
• Continue upward using progressively smaller layers.
• Sew each layer securely around the trunk.
• Fluff each branch outward.
• Wrap the white spiral garland evenly around the tree.
• Attach the star.
• Shape the branches until the tree has a full, spiral appearance.
