Crochet Christmas Spiral Tree Ornament Pattern

Materials

Spiral Strip

Using red yarn:

Row 1:
Ch 180–220 (adjust for the desired spiral length).

Row 2:

Row 3:
Change to white.
Work 3 sc in every stitch across to create a natural ruffle.

Row 4:
Change to green.
Work 1 sc in each stitch across.

Large Star (Top)

With red yarn:

Round 1:
Magic ring, 10 sc, join.

Round 2:
Increase around (20 sts).

Round 3:
Form five points:

Repeat five times.

Make:

• 1 red star
• 1 slightly smaller white star
• 1 small green star

Stack the three stars together and sew them in the center.

Small Hanging Stars

Make 6–10 stars.

Round 1:
Magic ring, 10 sc.

Round 2:
Create five points using:
Ch 4, sl st back, sc in next stitch.

Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing.

Assembly

1. Shape the spiral using the inserted wire.
2. Attach the layered star securely at the top.
3. Sew the small stars evenly along the spiral.
4. Attach small jingle bells between the stars.
5. Hang the ornament with a loop of yarn attached to the top star.
6. Adjust the spiral so it hangs evenly.
