Instruction

Ingredients

1 large cauliflower, cut into florets

2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

2 cups milk

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

Salt and black pepper to taste

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Method

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish with butter or cooking spray.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the cauliflower florets for about 5 minutes until slightly tender. Drain well.

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.

Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth. Continue cooking until the sauce thickens.

Add 1 1/2 cups of cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until the cheese is fully melted.

Fold the cooked cauliflower into the cheese sauce and mix until evenly coated.

Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the cheese is golden brown and bubbling.

Allow the casserole to rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
