Big Bread Spread Recipe Collection

1. Classic Garlic Herb Butter Spread

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives (chopped)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mash butter until creamy.
  2. Stir in garlic, parsley, chives, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread over warm bread or store in the fridge in an airtight container.

Perfect for garlic bread, sandwiches, or as a finishing butter for steaks.

2. Creamy Cheese & Herb Spread

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 2 green onions (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp dill (fresh or dried)
  • ½ tsp paprika

Instructions:

  1. Blend all ingredients in a food processor until smooth.
  2. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.

Great on crackers, baguettes, or bagels.

3. Nutty Chocolate Hazelnut Spread (Homemade Nutella)

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups hazelnuts (roasted & peeled)
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Blend hazelnuts in a food processor until creamy.
  2. Add cocoa powder, sugar, oil, vanilla, and salt. Blend until smooth.
  3. Store in a jar at room temperature for 2 weeks.

Perfect for toast, croissants, or fruit dipping.

4. Mediterranean Hummus Spread

Ingredients:

  • 1 can chickpeas (drained & rinsed)
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Blend all ingredients in a blender until creamy.
  2. Add 1–2 tbsp water if too thick.

Spread on pita bread, wraps, or use as a veggie dip.

5. Sweet Cinnamon Honey Butter

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Whip butter with honey and cinnamon until fluffy.
  2. Store in a jar in the fridge.

Amazing on toast, pancakes, waffles, or cornbread.

6. Avocado Feta Spread

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • ½ cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Mash avocado in a bowl.
  2. Mix in feta, olive oil, lemon juice, and seasonings.

Creamy, tangy, and delicious for sandwiches or as a dip.

Tips & Variations

  • Add chili flakes for a spicy kick.
  • Mix in roasted red peppers for smoky flavor.
  • Use Greek yogurt for a lighter, healthier spread.
  • Store most spreads in airtight containers in the fridge for up to a week.
