Ingredients
1 cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese
6 cups of potatoes, peeled and cubed
3/4 cup of mayonnaise
1 cup of crumbled, cooked bacon
3 tablespoons of minced garlic
1/2 cup of finely chopped onion
Instructions
Cook the Potatoes: Start by peeling and cubing the potatoes. Place them in a large pot filled with salted water. Bring to a boil and cook for 10-15 minutes until the potatoes are tender but still hold their shape. Drain the potatoes and set them aside.
Preheat Your Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Mix the Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, minced garlic, and chopped onion. Stir until well blended.
Combine Potatoes with the Mixture: Gently fold the cooked potatoes into the cheese and bacon mixture, ensuring that each potato cube is well-coated.
Bake: Grease a baking dish and transfer the potato mixture into it. Spread it evenly and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
Serve: Allow the dish to cool slightly before serving. These Mississippi Mud Potatoes are a perfect side dish for any occasion, bringing the rich flavors of the South to your table.
Enjoy.
