5-Minute Melt-in-Your-Mouth Cake
Ingredients:
– 1 cup all-purpose flour
– 1 cup granulated sugar
– 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
– 1 teaspoon baking powder
– 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 cup milk
– 1/4 cup vegetable oil
– 1 large egg
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1/2 cup boiling water
#### Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8-inch square baking pan.
2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
3. Add the milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until smooth and well combined, but do not overmix.
4. Carefully stir in the boiling water until the batter is well combined. The batter will be thin, but this is normal.
5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
7. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
8. Once cooled, you can dust the cake with powdered sugar or frost it with your favorite frosting, if desired.
9. Slice and serve your delicious melt-in-your-mouth cake!
