Ingredients:
° Water 9–10 cups
° Half a cup of chopped onions
° Pearl barley cup 1 cup (0.24 l)
°1 large bay leaf
°1 pound (0.45 kg) boneless envelope, cut into small pieces
° Carrot slices 1 and a half cups
° Celery cut half a cup
°8 ounce (0.3 kg) sliced mushrooms
° Beef base 2 tbsp You can use beef broth here too, but the beef base works like a charm and I only have to use 2 tbsp for this recipe
*Prepare:
Take a frying pan and cook the meat according to your taste like you cook your favorite meat.
When the beef is ready, add it to the cooking pot. Add carrots, water, bay leaf, onion, celery, mushrooms, and meat base.
Cook on high heat and then add barley to it. Add salt and pepper to your taste and cook until the beef and vegetables are cooked to your requirements.
Remove the bay leaf and serve on a plate with the fish crackers, some chili sauce, soy sauce, and lime.
Enjoy!
